2017 has been my best year yet:

• I planned out and went on a dream vacation to Europe and Hawaii
• I had a lot of fun writing software that improves my own life
• I discovered several sides of myself that I never knew existed
• Having people choose to use your software is a nice feeling

As my technical skills improve, I feel more comfortable dealing with the unknown, whether that involves new (business) domains or different technologies. This helps me stay positive and keep a can-do attitude that I really enjoy having.

My desires and goals for 2018

• Get in a better shape
• Erlang/Elixir OTP. It's finally time!
• Phoenix: Channels
• Get better at portrait photography and develop an efficient workflow
• Either start the project I originally planned to do last year, or get into VR development
• Blog more about technical stuff? But I say that every year...
